– Comfortable foam sits well on my head
– Can wear for extended periods without headache
– Sound is clear and perfect for hearing 360 degrees
– Mic is very well made and crystal clear (from what my friends tell me) and it WILL NOT pick up stray sounds in the room. If I try to talk through it from further than foot or 2 away, it will not pick up.
– Maybe a con, but I cannot hear much else with these on. They immerse me fully in whatever I’m doing, sometimes to the frustration of my SO.
– Cable sometimes gets in my way when I’m trying to move my desk chair around
– Nothing else really that I’ve had happen so far.B

Arctis 7 features lag-free wireless audio, 15-hour battery life, a premium steel headband, on-ear Game/Chat audio balance, and DTS Headphone:X 7.1 Surround Sound.
Pretty amazing audio for a wireless headset in a super comfortable design. I work at my computer all day long, and there is nothing worse than throwing good money down on a pair of “high-end” headphones and wanting to take them off your head because your ears are being pinched. This ski-goggle suspension strap carries the weight of the (already pretty light) headphones. And the ear pads are very comfortable. I also wear glasses, so I need to have pads that mold themselves around the frames without continuing to knock them off course.techradar.com recommended it.
Range is as expected on wireless, and maintains quality through a reasonable distance. I don’t use the mic much, but it’s been clear to those on the receiving end, and I like the fact that it tucks away so I don’t have to think about it. Good battery life if good so far, charging it every few days of use.B

Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset for enhanced performance gameplay. Get into the game with high quality stereo sound with noise cancelling boom microphone
This headset is probably the best one you can get in this price range. Its got decent features, decent build quality and amazing sound!
The worst part about this headset is probably the build quality. Its mostly plastic and feels quite flimsy, but is quite durable actually. But with the cheap feeling it means they are light and I can confirm they are rather light, so no unnecessary pressure on your head.
This headset has a surprising amount of features for the price. You have removable ear pads, dedicated controls for the volume with a microphone mute switch, as well as a folding microphone that is also flexible. Not to mention a cable that’s around 10 feet long which also has built in Velcro straps for cable management.

ARKARTECH Gaming Headset with Mic for Xbox One PS4 PC Switch Tablet Smartphone
Pretty standard shipping as far as these cheaper headsets go. A colorful box with images of the headset on display. Once you open the box you’ll find the headset, a splitter cable so you can use the headset on a PC, and a manual. Overall the shipping is nothing special but definitely isn’t a con.
DESIGN : The design of this headset is mediocre at best. I don’t know why but most of these cheaper Chinese headsets are HUGE! While this isn’t really a con as far as comfort goes, they do look pretty goofy on your head. They’re made out of a pretty cheap plastic, and the slides for the headphones do not feel good at all. The colors are pretty good, but I have one BIG gripe with the design, THE STUPID RGB. Why in the world would you have a color scheme consistent throughout the entire headset, then just mess it up with an RGB light you can’t set to a specific color. The RGB light fades throughout the rainbow, and most of the colors just don’t look good with blue. It’s annoying and really increases the silly look of the headset IMO. While I did list a lot of cons, you’ve got to factor in the very cheap price, and with that I don’t think you’re getting gypped at all, but I really don’t like those colors.
COMFORT : The comfort on these is very good, I have worn them for hours at a time, for a few days and they have not been uncomfortable in the slightest. The padding is good for the money and the earcups don’t touch your ears at all. In this situation I figure the light plastic actually plays itself as a pro as they don’t press down on your head despite their weight. Overall I am VERY satisfied with the comfort of these.
SOUND : The sound gets a meh from me. It’s clear, and good for watching videos, and the stereo sound works well for games like CS:GO where sound is important, but as far as music goes, its really lacking in the low end, as most of these cheaper headsets do. Overall the sound is satisfactory, but nothing more.
MIC QUALITY : This is what impressed me the most. I don’t know what it is about these cheap Chinese headsets, but their mics are SO GOOD. I have tried the mics of many, much more expensive headsets, and they let me down time and time again, but these are clear, with low static. These work great for Discord, Skype, game chats and the likes.

ONIKUMA is one of the best Gaming Headsets for PS4, PS4 on the market.
The sound quality for this price range is unusually great. It has full surround sound, where the sound moves based on direction, and a BALANCED sound: not overbearing bass or highs while both are still present. -Minasan19
Sound quality is awesome, surround soundis great, allows me to hear the animals and foot steps and whatnot in my hunting game. Same with Far Cry 5 when i’m out hunting game to get extra cash, i can tell if they’re behind me to the left of right or whatever. -Kormath
- About Microphone
…partner (who lives 700 miles away in Wisconsin), said my voice was the most crystal clear he’d heard it in ages. -Bludingutz
The outgoing sound is equally as clear, and the mic only pics up what it should pick up. Background noise will not key up your mic, and you will hear no static. -Angie Dennis
- About Comfort Level
…After I received mine, I immediately used it for a 5-hour gaming session. I wear glasses, which sometimes can be annoying while wearing headsets and start to feel painful after a while. I didn’t feel any discomfort even after 5 hours. Both the cushioning on the top and the pads around the ears are very comfortable, and they seem durable too. -Joost Op ‘t Eynde
I wear glasses, and I’ve usually found that over-the-ear headphones are really painful after a while. As such, I usually default to earbuds, which allow me to listen to music for longer periods of time. However, I saw these headphones and figured I’d give them a try. And you know what? They’re really comfortable, even with glasses on! I have them extended, so that they aren’t pulling up on my ears at all (so they’re just resting on my head and over my ears), and they’re very comfortable -David Mortenson
Best Gaming Headset for 2021-Buyers Guide
Gaming headsets Buying Tips
Premium-quality gaming headsets are an inseparable component of the gaming setup of both hardcore gamers and casual players. Headsets not only add a sense of realism to the games, but they also give you a chance to communicate with teammates and meet like-minded gaming enthusiasts.
However, which are the features that make a headset well worth the purchase? How can you tell if the headsets you have eyed will actually live up to your requirements? How can you determine whether the headset has all features you need to make the most out of your gameplay?
However, if you are looking for budget gaming headsets or you think that investing your weekly wage into gaming gear is a rich man’s whim, you will have to put up with the lack of some essential features. Still, you have all chances of finding a model that works well for you. Here are the most important features to look out for when you explore the market for the best gaming headsets.
Gaming Headsets Compatible with PC, Mac, Xbox One or PS4
The first thing you have to take into account before you start looking for high-quality gaming headsets is the platform you use.
If you are predominantly a PC player, make sure the headsets you have eyed are compatible with PC. Likewise, if you prefer consoles, double check if the headsets work with PS4 and Xbox One.
Gaming Headsets Connection Type
Depending on the platform you use, you have to consider the connection type of the headsets you intend to purchase. Failing to do that means you may end up with fancy headsets that are incompatible with your PC or console. There are several types of connection: a standard 3.5mm, dual 3.5mm, wired USB, wireless USB, and Bluetooth.
If you are a PS4 player, you are not likely to stumble upon connectivity issues. However, if you are mainly a PC gamer, you will have to dig deeper into that matter.
Comfort during Prolonged Use
Comfort is the key to peak in-game performance. Who needs advanced headsets that cause such a terrible pain neck that you prefer wearing the featherlike cheapo you bought from the local shop?
The best gaming headsets are comfortable and non-obtrusive. They are made of durable, lightweight materials that allow you to focus solely on the game. Using decent quality headsets reduced the risk of a headache, neck pain or an earache after a few hours of usage.
Headsets for Gamers Who Wear Glasses
If you wear glasses, don’t forget to take that into account when choosing the best gaming headset for you. Some manufacturers use a glass-friendly technology that does not put any pressure on the frames.
Headband and Earcups Materials
The materials used in the headband and the earcups matter the most. Lether earcups are said to be the most comfortable, not to mention that they look really stylish. However, they make your ears prone to sweating. Spongier earcups allow better airflow, but the low-class models are not very comfortable to wear.
Omni- or Undirectional Mic- What’s the Difference?
Gaming headsets usually come with omnidirectional or unidirectional boom mics.
What’s the difference between omnidirectional and unidirectional mics? As their name implies, omnidirectional mics pick up sounds from all directions. To put it the other way around, if you have to choose between headsets featuring an omnidirectional mic and another model featuring an unidirectional mic, choose the latter.
Wired or Wireless Gaming Headset?
Every hardcore gamer would smash the belief that wireless gaming peripherals are equal to the wired ones. Both wired and wireless headset versions have their advantages and disadvantages.
The most obvious disadvantage of the wired headsets is the availability of cords. Opting for a wired headset means that you take the risk of untangling wires or tripping up over cords. Cables are notorious for being drink spillers, too.
On the other hand, wireless headsets spare you the above troubles. However, most of them connect to gaming platforms via Bluetooth or wireless networks.
All serious gamers would agree that the high-quality sound can make a huge difference during a game. The main purpose of the headsets is to enable you to hear explosions, gunfire, your enemies’ footsteps, and take your game to the next level. If you are not just a gamer but also a YouTuber, podcaster, or a Twitch streamer compromising on the audio quality is simply out of question.
Active Noise Cancellation Feature
The noise cancellation is a very handy feature that works in the following manner. An external microphone is used to invert any outside noises and cancel them. This way, you can indulge in your game without being exposed to any distractions
Gaming Headsets Durability
You might be determined to find the best wired or wireless headset on the market but your determination probably has its limits. Financial limits, to be precise J. What you need is a gaming headset with a decent quality-price ratio. The high price is not always a fair representation of headset’s durability, but you are advised to shy away from flimsy materials and headsets made up entirely of cheap plastic.
Let’s call a spade a spade. Even if you buy a product known as the best headset for gaming, it is still prone to breakdowns. Sometimes, these breakdowns are due to technical overlooks. Improper exploitation and poor maintenance are also among the common reasons for breakdowns. Since an unbreakable piece of gaming gear is yet to be crafted, you have to be prepared to find a replacement to the broken part if needed. Make sure the headset ships with spare parts or at least they are sold separately.
Best gaming headset feature
No matter if you are a self-proclaimed gaming enthusiast or you are an avid gamer who can hardly count the hours spent in playing, using a good quality headset is always a challenging task.
The combination of all above features makes a best gaming headset 2021 a good quality one. Still, if you want a budget-friendly device, the headset might not possess all those bells and whistles. All that counts is to find a device that best suits your individual gaming needs and do not make you clench your fist in frustration during a game.
